Stand up for cancer...

I have had to Dad's in my life... so blessed am I. I lost my step dad 3 years ago to this horrible disease and my father a few months ago. It is debilitating, cruel, and merciless. I know I am not alone for what a family has suffered. I am sure that most of you out there, if not all of you, have been touched by this terrible disease.

Thanks for the site. My paternal grandmother died of metastatic brain cancer. It started as melenoma on the face and spread. She let the skin cancer get too far before getting it removed and it popped up again deeper in the tissue before going to the brain.
My maternal grandfather died of lung cancer. My uncle also had lung cancer but had it removed early. He has been in remission for 10 years.
I don't know anyone who hasn't been touched by this disease, I hope they find a cure.
