Gas Prices Spike with Ike
Today in Nashville gas rose $0.60 per gallon in one day in anticipation of hurricane Ike. Although the barrel of crude fell below $100 for the first time in several months the closure of offshore rigs and refineries in Texas are killing gas prices. Many speculators (one of my worst enemies) are predicting $5.00 per gallon over this weekend... and maybe longer. Fill up while it is cheap and conserve until this crisis is over. Most importantly pray for the people of Texas and Louisiana... they need it.

Amen to praying for those that were in the path of Ike. Now having to deal with the insurance companies is almost as bad as the storm itself.
I noticed the gas prices go up too on Friday, luckily I filled up Thursday morning before they started going up that afternoon.

I heard the gas prices are due to start dropping again monday. I hope it's true. Insurance are a whole other animal to tackles. Maybe some day when I am done with big oil...
